“Great portfolios aren’t built on predictions – they’re built on evidence, discipline, and a clear understanding of risk. I’m inspired by the challenge of translating market complexity into long-term clarity and confidence.”
As Willow Creek’s Portfolio Manager, I help facilitate the firm’s day-to-day portfolio management and trading functions. I bring both technical expertise and a long-standing passion for financial markets to my work – ensuring that our clients’ portfolios are managed with precision, care, and a long-term perspective. With over a decade of experience in portfolio management, I’m excited to contribute to a team that values thoughtful investing and collaborative decision-making.
My fascination with markets began early – I picked up a copy of Money magazine as a teenager, and I was immediately hooked. I bought my first mutual funds before I could drive, went on to study economics and finance at Cal Poly, and still find myself drawn to the big-picture questions: What makes a portfolio successful? How do we apply those insights to create lasting wealth? Investing well starts with asking the right questions and never being afraid to keep asking. I enjoy bringing that curiosity and discipline to life through thoughtful analysis, data-driven decisions, and a steady focus on our clients’ financial goals.
I’m a Sonoma County native, born and raised in Rohnert Park – go Rancho Cotate Cougars! My wife, Hilary, and I now live in Napa with our Brittany Spaniel, Duke. When I’m not diving into markets and portfolios, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, traveling, golfing, or wine tasting. I’m a life-long sports fan – whether I’m watching a game or swinging a bat with my slow-pitch softball team on a Friday night, I love the energy and camaraderie of sports.
